Valang – The Valang are a desert-dwelling people with thick, scaly skin and a thin, whip-like tail. They can stand on two legs or travel much more quickly on four. They are mostly brown in colour, although the tone varies. The Valang trademark is their wide, horrifying grin that stretches across their faces from ear to ear. Many rows of sharp, pointed teeth give them a vicious appearance. Their eyes look like balls of dull wood and a third eye lies on their chins. The Valang have a violent history in Tranthaea that ended with them being exiled by the Dyadem and driving the gru’Esh out of Ta’ar. They are led by Cobarr, the Daku Valang.
Valang Schism – After the Second Battle of Barricade, the Valang collapsed into a Civil War over the issue of re-joining the Tranthaean world or removing themselves from all contact. Unionist and Loyalist armies battled, as did the politicians. Eventually, unable to resolve their differences, the Valang split into  two factions. Half rejoined Tranthaea, gaining a seat on the Tranthaean Council. The others retreated into the far western desert.
Varas Stone – A stone with unknown properties...
v’Aros – Clan Leader of the ka’Esh, fourth tribe of the gru’Esh.
Vintenar – A leader of a full Quarrel (nineteen) Arbalists. An officer of the Vox.
Vox – The Vox is the policing agency of Nua Verden, run by House Voxeter.
Voxeter – One of the ten Houses of Nua Verden. (See also Houses)
Vytus – A one-eyed Arulion. Vytus was once a Restorer, but is now a mercenary bounty hunter. His scales are black and rusty orange and his wings have black outlines with grey veins running through them. He is a proven warrior.
