Callum Swift – Callum makes multiple appearances in The Keeper Chronicles. In Playing with Fire we meet him as a 15-year-old British orphan from 1882. He is a pickpocket who is brought to Tranthaea to battle the evil Spark Keeper, Kala. Then, in Running to Ground, we see him as a 45-year-old man in 1912. He is then an Able Seaman living in New York, New York and working on the RMS Carpathia. His wife, Mary, recently died, leaving him with a son, Aiden. A number of times he holds the position of Spark Keeper of Tranthaea. (See also Payta) |

Canorma – A red-light district in the city of Bellua. (See also Bellua)
Caradul – One of the two medallions owned by the Dyadem, Caradul has the power to give its wearer all five Talents.
Carrion Ghost – A pirate ship that sails the Allodapic Ocean. Captained by Renārs Valdis.
Carvain – A middling rank in the Valang military, similar to a Captain.
Cascader – A type of Breaker who controls water.
Chamblis – An upperclass drink of Nua Verden, served at all the best parties.
Champion – The victor of the Daevyn Tournament. They are rewarded with glory and a crown of flames.
Charon – Baron of House Ichorin and Academy bigwig.
Château de Tiffauges – A French castle believed to have once been the home of Gilles de Rais, one of the inspirations for Charles Perrault’s "Bluebeard."
Chiliad – One of the ten Houses of Nua Verden. (See also Houses)
Chimerian – One of the four Great Powers, a Chimerian can control others' dreams and communicate through dreams, among other skills. It is a rare gift.
Cholet – A city in western France that is home to the Lycée Verne, an all-boys school. It is Marc Thomas' place of residence.
ch'Orha – A gru'Esh of the je'Esh clan who holds the post of Historian. A distant ancestor of mi'Orha, q'Orha, and ti'Orha. (See also Historian, mi'Orha, q'Orha, ti'Orha)
Christian van Wyk – A Breaker (Poisoner) in Hunter’s Clash, Christian hails from South Africa.
Cinerium – The leader of a Daevyn religion that has grown from the worship of Huon Arrahl in the far southern forests. They call their god 'The Grey' or 'The Guardian of the Forest.' The most recent Cinerium is Ylric Flamestoker. (See also Huon Arrahl and Ylric Flamestoker )
Circle of Barons – The ruling council of Nua Verden, which is headed by the Lord Regent.
Cirrain – A mid-to-high level officer in the Aru Elen forces, similar to a Captain.
City Sentinels – The Royal Guard of the Daevyn Flame-Bearer. The City Sentinels serve as bodyguards and police for the royal court and city.
Clara – A child inhabitant of Sanctuary. (See also Sanctuary)
Clash – A fighting unit made up of five Breakers, each Clash has one Scorchling, one Razer, one Cyclonist, one Poisoner, and one Cascader.
Claude Mattison – A young boy being initiated into a gang in the Yukon Territory in 2018.
Cobarr – The Daku Valang, or ruler of the Valang people. He is a Mutalor who rules with an iron fist. Very clever, he likes to play games with his enemies and come up with brilliant strategies. He brings the Valang into an alliance with Yriel Sparkcatcher in the hopes of taking Tranthaea for himself.
Cobb – A member of Cassia's gang, the Pick-Pirates.
Colin Tanner – A bespectacled friend of Gabriel Sorensen from the Yukon Territory in 2018. Colin's father is a police officer. When LARPing, Colin is known as Kornak the Mage. (See also LARP)
Collector – A Collector is a structure the Daevyn built a number of on the Plains. They are metal towers that keep the lightning from striking the flammable prairie lands. Each Collector is built on a huge vat of water, ostensibly for fire-retardant purposes. But the real reason is far more sinister…
Colour-Anosmia – An affliction suffered by a few gru'Esh, where they cannot sense colours.
The Conservatory – A Daevyn school for higher learning, much like a university.
Conclave – The local government of a Valang municipality.
Congress – A meeting of all four of the gru'Esh Tribes. A Congress often ends in violence.
Corabella Tosetti – Wife of the Lord Regent and mother of Genevieve Tosetti.
Corvus – A cruel, albino Arulion Restorer from Vytus’ past.
Council Hall – A special building constructed solely for the Tranthaean Council to meet, train, and work for the greater good of Tranthaea. It includes a meeting chamber, cafeteria, barracks, and warrior training grounds.
Council of Tranthaea – The Council was formed after the Battle of Barricade to better serve Tranthaea. On it are the five Keepers, as well as Ambassadors from the main peoples of Tranthaea: the gru’Esh, the Arulion, and the Daevyn. (Also called the Tranthaean Council.)
Crested Onnaru – Commonly known plainly as Onnaru, these creatures live in the swamplands of islands in the Allodapic Ocean. They have short, narrow bodies that widen at the rear, with two strong hind legs and a thick, feathered tail that sweeps back and forth, helping it balance. The creature’s front half narrows to a stunted chest with a single, central leg supporting it. It has four beady, glittering eyes that bulge out above a short, hooked beak. The Crested Onnaru takes part of its name from its tiny, velvetlike feathers that give way to a line of hard, pointed scales that protrude from its upper spine and neck to peak on the top of its head. Fully grown adults rarely reach the size of a large dog. They are intelligent and extremely territorial.
Crispin Humphreys – A lordling from House Brontide and student at the Academy. His father captains the Intrepid, a ship of the Nua Verden Navy.
Croen – A spiked creature that lives on the Plains. Generally shy, they travel in groups and can get aggressive when threatened. Delicious when roasted.
The Crossing – A series of stone bridges that span the Roots of Tranthaea. The bridges are at varying levels and many believe the lowest crossings have not yet been rediscovered. Named Gluurfa in the original Mandrian. (See also Gluurfa and The Roots of Tranthaea)
Cyclonist – A type of Breaker who controls air.
Cyx – An Arulion female from Vytus’ past. A runaway slave.
