ka’Esh – The fourth Tribe of the gru’Esh nation. These gru’Esh are brown in colour. (See also gru’Esh)
Kaia – A Sea Keeper of Tranthaea. (See also Jingwei Li)

Kala
Kala – The Aru Elen daughter of the First Flame-Bearer and sister of a Sky Keeper, Alkira. She becomes a Spark Keeper of Tranthaea.

Kalyx
Kalyx – A chatty Aru Elen with green scales, she has a strong driving need to be of service to someone or something. She becomes close to Gabriel Sorensen.
Kano Aradat – A sentient being of the water who is accidently created by the Spark Keeper, Kala.
The Keep – The central structure of Yshaar, the Keep is where the Daevyn government works and lives.
Keepers – There are five Keepers of Tranthaea. Each has a Talent that allows them to control a certain element. The Sky Keeper controls the air, the Spark Keeper can manipulate fire, the Sea Keeper controls water, the Soil Keeper can manage dirt and stone, and the Seed Keeper controls vegetation. They are guardians of Tranthaea.

Kellyn Durning
Kellyn Durning – A young fisherman who lost his village and mother to a hurricane and was shipwrecked on an island in the Allodapic Ocean. Son to Fletcher Durning. (See also Fletcher Durning)

Keondra Asaju
Keondra Asaju – A blacksmith, marooned on an island by pirates. A trans woman, Keondra is mother to Tambara Asaju and becomes chief of the village of Sanctuary. (See also Tambara Asaju)
Kesthal – A predatory creature of Nua Verden, related to the Gravog of Tranthaea. Their thin, lithe bodies hover over the ground, then they use their black-and-orange striped legs to launch them towards their prey, which they catch with dual, pronged horns. Used by the Vox and symbol of House Voxeter.
Kettos Harp – A gru’Esh instrument that is like a harp, but with two sets of strings running beside one another; one vertical, one horizontal (column strings and row strings). It is held with the chest-arms and played with the shoulder-arms. A musically-inclined gru’Esh can sing along with it; the singing is a rhythmic clicking that provides lyrics and percussion at the same time.

Khalid "Dagger" Dogher
Khalid (Dagger) Dogher – A member of Dante's crew. Dagger is the newest Arrival and is still learning English, but has a gift for infiltration and burglary. (See also Arrival)
Khasto – A big, toothy predator that lives in the Allodapic Ocean.
Khonarr – A  Valang Minciter for the Conclave of Bot Sakor.  He leads the city to Tranthaea during the Unification Summit. (See also Minciter)
Kibera, Kenya – An urban slum in the southern part of Nairobi, Kenya. The birthplace of Hiari White.
Kjell Dahlström  –  A 17-year-old Breaker (Razer). Kjell is a Viking from  the year 823 AD.
Korrahl Forest – The massive forest in the south of Tranthaea. Much of the western part of the forest is made up of the bodies of Huon Arrahl, though the eastern part is non-sentient.
Kosumi – An inhabitant of Sanctuary. (See also Sanctuary)
kr'Atok – A gru'Esh of the ka'Esh clan. This taciturn gru'Esh becomes close with Gabriel Sorensen and is a Polyglot. (See also Polyglot)
Kypri – A tamed Thranvorl, ridden by Ydama Firestorm.
