Every year at Christmas-time I indulge in a personal tradition. Aside from the presents, the tree, the stockings, the reading of the Christmas story, and the incessant carol-playing, I have recently taken to reading a Christmas Classic every year. I started with The Idiot, and have moved through Little Women, War & Peace, Little Men, A Christmas Carol, Jo's Boys,Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde, The Hobbit, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Moby Dick, Heidi, & most recently, Wuthering Heights. This year I'm going to have a Dickens of a time with The Old Curiosity Shop.
Here's my question to you: Do you have any literary traditions during the holidays?
Happy Christmas and happy reading!
